We invite contributions to the AI Day at UNIL, a cross-faculty event showcasing how artificial intelligence is shaping research, teaching, and society at UNIL.

Our goal is to foster interdisciplinary exchange: All faculties and disciplines are warmly invited to contribute, including AI developers and researchers applying or studying AI methods in their fields without necessarily being AI specialists. We especially encourage submissions from early-career researchers, including PhD students.

Cross-faculty themes of interest include, but are not limited to:

• Societal Impacts of AI (including Human-AI interaction and collaboration, AI for memory & cultural heritage, AI and creativity, AI for decision support)
• Responsible and trustworthy AI (including fairness, privacy/data protection, transparency/documentation, accountability, governance)
• Applied AI (including validation for real-world applications, robustness, uncertainty quantification, benchmarking)
• Knowledge-guided AI (including physics-constrained or causal approaches; hybrid methods combining domain knowledge with data)
• Generative AI for research and professional workflows (e.g., retrieval-augmented generation, quality control, reliable use of assistants/agents)

Abstract selection criteria :

Share a clear and creative AI project with a simple use case, easy-to-follow methods, solid proof of what it can do, and something fresh that people from different areas can appreciate. ~300 words
